Frequently Asked Questions

About QRMint features, pricing, and privacy.

Is QRMint free to use?
Yes. Static QR code creation is completely free with all customization options β€” logos, colors, dot styles, and more. No account required. Advanced features like dynamic QR codes and scan analytics are available with the Pro plan ($4.99/month).
What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?
Static QR codes embed data (URLs, text, etc.) directly into the code. Once created, they cannot be changed but work forever with no expiration. Dynamic QR codes route through QRMint servers, allowing you to update the destination URL anytime and access scan analytics (location, device, etc.).
Is my data sent to your servers?
Static QR code generation happens entirely in your browser β€” no data is ever sent to our servers. Only redirect URLs for dynamic QR codes are stored on our servers.
Will QR codes with logos still scan properly?
Yes. QR codes have built-in error correction that allows them to remain scannable with a logo in the center. QRMint displays a scan quality score to help you fine-tune the logo size.
Do QR codes expire?
Static QR codes never expire. Dynamic QR codes remain active while your Pro subscription is active, including a 90-day grace period after cancellation.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
Your dynamic QR codes continue to redirect for 90 days after cancellation. After the grace period, redirects stop but your QR data stays in your account. Resubscribe anytime to reactivate instantly.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Pro comes with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you won't be charged at all.
What file formats are available for download?
PNG, SVG, PDF, and WEBP β€” all free, no watermarks. For print, we recommend SVG or PDF for the best quality.
Can I use QR codes commercially?
Yes. QR codes created with QRMint can be used freely for both personal and commercial purposes.
What is the recommended size for printing?
The minimum recommended print size is 2cm Γ— 2cm (~0.8 inches). For longer scan distances (posters, banners), use a larger size. A good rule of thumb: the QR code should be at least 1/10th of the expected scan distance.
